Spiral Q will be collaborating with Arcadia University School of Education and the American Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies to host a meeting of scholars and activists focused on exploring the importance of arts in establishing just education. Spiral Q’s Tracy Broyles will facilitate the meeting with the goal of sparking conversation and developing specific strategies to come to together on issues of education.

In the first part, we will look at creating spaces for expressing our voices. What kinds of spaces exist for action and change? How can we work together to find a common voice?

In the second part, we will explore the current status of youth media in our local communities. What is the intersection between educational reform and the goals of youth empowerment?
