Peoplehood and Spiral Q lovers, you’re invited to come celebrate 25 years of Peoplehood at a city council honorary resolution and reception initiated by Rue Landeau. You can even add your voice to the historical record by giving public comment! Your words about Peoplehood and its history will then be forever in Philadelphia public record! (available on legistar, which is where the city’s record lives online). 

Ceremony and public comment

When: Thursday, May 7th 

Council session starts promptly at 10am, and the public comment period usually starts around 10:30 or 11am.

Where: City Council Chambers, 4th Floor of Philadelphia City Hall, Room 400. You must enter through the Northeast Visitor’s entrance and bring photo ID. There is often a line to enter on Thursday mornings, so build in time to wait in line.

Making a statement about Peoplehood for the historic record: 

What: 1 or 2 minute remarks during the public comment period.

How: To sign up to testify, please call 215-686-3406 before Wednesday 5/6 at 3pm. Otherwise, you can also sign up the day-of in Council chambers.

Reception: 

When: Thursday, May 7th. 1-2:30pm 

Where: The Mayor’s Reception Room 2nd floor of City Hall
