Last year an incredible 32 groups, and over 600 people, joined the Peoplehood Parade to represent their work, their communities, and to walk in solidarity with each other as we celebrate those living and working at the forefront of fighting against oppression and discrimination.

Peoplehood is not just an an event, it is also a beautiful art-making and community building process that takes hundreds of artists, activists, adults, children, and community members to create. Peoplehood is shaped by the people who create it, and we’d love you and/or your group be a part of that process.

We’d love to get your group involved! In art builds, hosted at Spiral Q’s studio, we will work with groups to create puppets, screen prints, banners and more to support their campaigns and to make an appearance in the Peoplehood parade. We also have opportunities to connect artists to your youth or neighborhood group for a small workshops. Fill out this form to let us know what you’re interested in.

In the five weeks leading up to Peoplehood Spiral Q will facilitate community conversations, creative meetings, open art builds and rehearsals at our warehouse space at 4247 Stiles Street in West Philly. There are also ways to help out with promotion before the Parade, and course we’d love for you to march in Peoplehood! More info TBA but fill out this form with your interest and we’ll put you on a special participation list.
