Join Spiral Q for our second JusticeMaking event – an evening of art-making and community! Our first JusticeMaking event, “BIRDS, NOT BORDERS!” was so inspiring and energizing. We are excited to be hosting another! So come on over to our gallery on Lancaster Avenue. Here’s what to expect!

☞ We’ll be offering tours at 5:30 and 7PM. Our puppet collection is a living document of twenty years of personal and collective stories of struggle, identity, and justice in Philadelphia. We’ll learn about Spiral Q’s history, talk about why and how to make puppets, and get close-up looks at lots of puppets from our collection! Tours are all ages but ideal for 8 and up. They last around 45 minutes.

Little Chair Printing will be on deck doing some interactive screenprinting! Printing will be happening all night, so join in before or after you catch a tour. Screenprinting is MAKE ONE, TAKE ONE: bring a tote bag or a T-shirt or something else fabric to print on, and take home your items with fresh prints. And, while you’re in the groove, help us print 50 flags with the same design. We look forward to seeing these messages all around the city – at protests or just in everyday life.

We hope to see you on this second Friday for a cozy and renewing evening, surrounded by friends and fierce art.

BYO snacks or drinks, bring something to print on, and we’ll provide the rest.

Address of Art on the Avenue is 3808 Lancaster Ave.
