APPRENTICESHIPS

Spiral Q seeks federal work-study students from surrounding universities to participate in our Apprenticeship Program. Students in this program gain robust exposure to all the working parts of an art and social change nonprofit organization, including art-based educational programming, marketing and public relations, fundraising and development, studio work, finance and administration, and more. Eligible students qualify for federal work-study subsidies and are up for the challenge of doing meaningful work in a creative environment. Graduates of our apprenticeship program have gone on to work as artists, educators, nonprofit administrators, doctors, techies, and more. To join our fearless, creative crew of apprentices, contact jobs@spiralq.org to learn more about our available apprenticeship positions, or visit your university’s work-study office for more information about how to qualify or apply. We currently have off-campus work-study agreements with Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Note:

Apprenticeships are either

  • Paid through a student’s federal work-study grant
  • For college credit that you arrange with your institution
  • Volunteer

Upon acceptance into the apprenticeship program, all students must provide criminal background and child abuse clearances.
